As native New Yorkers, we've got a whole lot of pride for our city. We think it's one of the prettiest around. We believe it's filled with chic, interesting, smart, passionate people. We see the architecture as charming, the streets as brimming with history. But even we, New Yorkers to our core, believe that there are certain things Paris just does better. That's right, we said it. Let's talk about Parisian fashion, for instance. New York Fashion Week is amazing, beautiful, a sight to behold. But Paris Fashion Week…it's on a whole other level. New Yorkers might have the all black thing down pat, but no one does off duty beauty and 'just rolled out of bed' style like the Parisians do. They've got a gift for high fashion, and also, for high design. When it comes to design, no one knows how to mix traditional, modern and contemporary quite like they do. What can we say? Those Parisians, they've got an eye for design.
We stumbled across La Reserve Paris, designed by Remi Tessier, on Rue recently, and fell quite in love. Melding both hotel and private residence into a single stunning space, La Reserve is an amazing project that contains ten apartments, each one more beautiful than the last. Clean-lined soafas and floor to ceiling drapes give a sense of open warmth to the space (you know how those Parisians love their high ceilings!), while earth tones, such as stone and slate, bring nature into the space. While some might find the crisp, cool color palette of La Reserve a bit stark for their taste, we can't get enough of it, especially with the earth tones mixed in. They do wonders to warm up the residences.
While the apartments themselves are quite pretty, what La Reserve does best is service. Just like on the big screen, it's a hotel that caters to your every whim. Looking for a personal chef for a private dinner? You've got it. Need an assistant to run those errands? They'll handle it. It's like Olivia Pope, Parisian-style.
That's some serious interior eye candy, isn't it? That insane four poster bed…we love. And there's nothing like crisp white hotel sheets – especially when you're sinking into them after a day of sightseeing in the city of love. Consider our flights booked.
