How do we love this modern farmhouse dining room? Let us count the ways: the industrial lighting. The farmhouse trestle table. The ghost chairs around the table. We came across this room on Pinterest, and we're glad we clicked through, because doing so introduced us to one of our favorite new reads: this blog, penned by Katie Hackworth, the creative genius behind H2 Design and Build. The entire home is worth a look, so be sure to click through. A "modern farmhouse" in Washington, the entire space is filled with industrial accents, with a hint of Americana mixed in. Oversized steel frame windows fill the home, and white paint abounds. There's a crisp, airy quality to the space, which at once feels like a cozy lodge home, perfect for snuggling up with a blanket and a book. We couldn't love the space more. It's so different from the sorts of homes we see here in Manhattan; viewing it almost feels like a mini trip to Washington. Escapism at its best, if you ask us.
We loved this dining room so much, we put together a little design board for you. Tell us: do you love this home as much as we do? Or would you prefer a different style?
