We're big fans of designer and HGTV star Emily Henderson. We've followed her blog, Style by Emily Henderson, since before she was a favorite (and then winner!) on Design Star, and we've long loved her eclectic, layered design eye. Henderson is a vintage-lovers dream; she loves nothing more than finding a crazy, and sometimes ugly, piece of furniture at the flea market and turning it into the sofa of your dreams. She can search for the diamond in the rough like no one else can, but her talents don't stop there. She's also the master of the high low mix, and manages to create airy, beautiful, comfortable spaces like few others can. Her interiors never look over done, nor over designed. They're livable, but beautiful, like a breath of fresh air in the design world.
Case in point: this airy sunroom, which Henderson designed as part of the Curly House Makeover project she completed recently. How much do we want this exact room in our home? THIS MUCH. Don't you want this room in your home? We want to sit there in the mornings, sunlight streaming in through those giant windows, sipping a steaming mug of tea and reading The New York Times on our iPad. Sigh. Love.
