Did you guys catch Eye Swoon blogger and interior designer Athena Calderone’s home in Harper’s Bazaar the other week? Speaking of swooning, it’s a seriously swoon-worthy space. We had trouble picking out our favorite room, to be honest, as the entire duplex is so gorgeous. It feels like Calderone, who shares the space with her husband and son, decorated with a jewel box in mind. Everything is lush and luxurious, warm and inviting, with jewel tones proliferating the space. Lavender hues, grey walls, reclaimed wood and moody blues set the story of the space, while soft furs and velvet finishes can be found throughout.
How gorgeous are those black and gold pendants? How about those floor to ceiling windows (two stories high!) that reveal the city skyline beyond the river? Modern yet classic, feminine but not overly so, this space is practically perfect in every way. It’s glamourous, for sure, but also feels lived in, which we love.
Hello, see through glass stairs! And how about that sputnik? We die for that. The photo above gives us a better look at that gorgeous greige velvet chesterfield. What a piece! Last but certainly not least is the bedroom, a stunning, calming space that’s all purples and blues. We’d happily take a nap or two in here, wouldn’t you?
