We've long been fans of design and DIY channel HGTV, and if we do say so ourselves, we were watching House Hunters and Design on a Dime before it was cool. It's no surprise, then, that we're longtime fans of Canadian designer Sarah Richardson, whose HGTV show, Sarah's House, chronicled her design projects in the place that meant the most to her: her own home. We rarely catch the show on HGTV anymore – is it just us, or have all the shows gone the way of crappy reality TV these days? – but we always keep our eyes peeled and our DVR set for Ms. Richardson. This master bedroom, designed by Sarah, represents all we love about the designer. She's so adept at creating layered, chic, sophisticated spaces that feel like home. How amazing is that headboard? We'd love to have breakfast in bed in this bed…wouldn't you? Paired with sleek tufted velvet stools at the end, and a gorgeous striped rug, this space just begs to be snuggled into. Vintage nightstands, a pale blue wall color and gorgeous statement moldings round out the space. Love it too? See more of the design here in Chatelaine Magazine.
