- Real wood naturally absorbs moisture within its environment, and expands when it is high and contracts when it is low. The temperature itself does not affect the movement of wood, but usually with higher temperatures comes higher humidity and the opposite effect when it's colder
- Humidity is the main reason why real wood tends to crack, split, bow or twist. The reason behind this is that wood, even when dry, has microvessels that can absorb moisture causing wood to expand (swell) and contract (shrink). This movement overtime can create pressure and develop cracks, splits, bows, or twists
- This is a natural teak product and will patina over time to a silvery grey. Please read more about teak
- Due to the natural teak root material, variations in shape, size, grain, and color are to be expected, each piece will be unique
- Weight: 297 pounds
