Global Bazaar - Decorative Jars

Global Bazaar decorative jars tend to fall into one of two closely related categories: temple jars and ginger jars, neither of which appears to have been exclusively used in temples or for storing ginger. Like many long-admired icons of the Global style, something might have been lost in translation during the colonial and post-colonial eras. That said, what is lost in language is most definitely made up for in great style. The history of temple jars and the evolution of porcelain vessels is one written almost entirely by utility. To be perfectly frank, over the centuries a beautiful jar could have been used for storing everything from rice to the remains of a loved one! Today, they add instant sophistication and a regal air to any room whether alone or in a pair.
