Industrial Style Beds

Back in the very beginning of Industrial Loft style, the bedroom – or any room for that matter - was wherever you placed the furniture. In a large space without walls or partitions, it was up to the ingenuity and design skills of the artists who were starting to colonize old warehouses and factories. Found objects and flea market finds soon found their way into the style vernacular.

Industrial style beds reflect this diverse and eclectic style, born from utility, scarcity and creativity in equal measure. One of the earliest styles embraced by loft dwellers was the very ascetic approach of using shipping pallets as the base. Other popular choices include mid century style and simple, vintage inspired metal framed bed frames.
