Industrial Bookcase and Display Cases

The roots of Industrial Loft style are placed firmly in the 1970-80s artists’ lofts of New York’s SoHo, where ingenuity and creativity combined to give birth to an approach that would become one of the most popular expressions of urbane style. One of the key challenges in transforming old factories and warehouses into livable spaces was the lack of built in storage or closet space. Thankfully the previous occupants of these old industrial buildings had also faced this challenge and many left behind bookshelves and display cases crafted from basic materials like wrought iron and natural or unfinished wood. With caster feet on many pieces, the portability and utility of industrial bookcases and display cases hit a new high.
