Industrial Loft - Wall Art

If there are two elements that most clearly define Industrial Loft style, they are the love of art and an artistic approach to urban living. When the heyday of American manufacturing in cities was long passed, the factories and warehouses which were once buzzing with production fell quiet until a generation of artists and creative types found a new way of living in these cavernous spaces built from brick and cast iron. Almost immediately upon moving in, the walls were painted white and the spaces transformed into bright airy spaces with ample wall space for both creating and displaying works of art. Artists working in paint represented a large percentage of the new loft dwellers, but equally large and just as influential were photographers. Large scale, graphic or grainy black and white photography capturing people and machines remains a classic element of Industrial Loft wall art.
