We recently stumbled across this image, which we’re pretty sure is of Michelle Adam’s (of Lonny) bedroom (see the original Lonny feature here) and loved the chic, updated take on the traditional four poster/canopy bed. It appears the illustrious (and genius) editor decided she wanted a canopy, and hung some hardware from the ceiling, then picked up some gorgeous oversized floral black and white fabric to hang along the rims. The result? A gorgeous space with yet another punch of style, without having to buy a whole new bed! Man, we love that Michelle Adams. So smart! What an easy way to snag a canopy bed without having to buy a whole new bed frame.
While we can appreciate the jerry-rigging done here, this image got us thinking about canopy beds, and how perfect they are for a variety of styles: eclectic bohemian, romantic French Country, traditional, modern, adult bedrooms, kid’s bedrooms…the list of options goes on and on. Seriously, check out the inspiration shots we pulled below, and you’ll see it’s true: canopy beds truly work in just about any bedroom!

How about that pop of yellow?
