Hi cuties! It’s official: Spring is here, as of this week. It may not quite feel like it here in NYC, but I can sense warmer days ahead. Aside from including the first day of spring (March 21), the month of March is also Women’s History Month! So, in that spirit, my latest list of Kathy’s Faves is all about women I admire.
Read on, enjoy, and prepare to be oh-so-inspired by some amazing women who certainly inspire my own entrepreneurial and creative spirit every day.
Kathy’s Favorite #1: Zimmermann
If you’re a regular Kuotes reader, I don’t have to tell you how much I love the Zimmermann brand! The Zimmermann brand is known for its distinctive silhouettes and feminine details but my affection for the brand goes beyond the fact that the clothes are amazing. Zimmerann was founded by a team of two sisters—Nicky and Simone Zimmerman. I lvoe a female founded fashion brand, and even more so when it’s a sister act.
Since its debut in 1991, the brand has just grown and grown and has become a fashionista and celeb favorite. It’s definitely my go-to for looks when I shoot content for the KKH social channels or have a special event to attend. I can’t wait to see what they come out with next!

Kathy’s Favorite #2: Supergoop
A female founded beauty and skincare brand that puts skin health at the forefront? It’s a no-brainer! I‘ve been using Supergoop for years because protecting and nourishing my skin is super-important to me and their signature products speak for themselves…but also because I am obsessed with the brand mission.
Founded in 2007 by Holly Thaggard, this brand got its start by getting SPF pumps into Texas schools and operates with a mission to educate consumers about the importance of daily SPF use and to offer products that are safe, clean, sustainable, and cruelty-free.
Kathy’s Favorite #3: Mexico City
Okay, so this one is more of a future fave! Mexico City has been on my list for a while as a travel destination and have just become obsessed with doing research about the city and its culture and history. Aside from being know for amazing food, architecture, and cultural happenings, Mexico City is of course known for the namesake museum of one of my favorite female artists: Frida Kahlo.
Watch this space for dispatches from a future inspiration-gathering trip to Mexico City! It’s definitely on my must-do list for travel in 2023!
Kathy’s Favorite #4: Believe IT: How To Go From Underestimated To Unstoppable by Jamie Kern Lima
If you caught our recent post for National Reading Day, you may already be familiar with Jamie Kern Lima’s Believe IT, and if you’ve checked out our last Kathy’s Faves post, you know that I love It Cosmetics (and their CC+ Cream especially).
But it obviously bears repeating that the IT Cosmetics brand, their founder Jamie Kern Lima, and her oh-so-inspirational book are simply flawless! Take my advice and come to this brand for their top-tier beauty products and stay for a female founder whose story will blow your mind and have you catching the entrepreneur bug in no time!
Kathy’s Favorite #5: Mother And Child by Claiborne Swanson Frank
Here’s your friendly reminder that Mother’s Day is right around the corner on May 14—if you’re in search of a beautiful and unique gift for the special mama in your life (or as a special treat for yourself) I highly recommend Mother And Child by the extremely talented photographer (and mom!) Claiborne Swanson Frank.
This gorgeous book is full of moving portraits of motherhood and it’s been a staple on my coffee table and bookshelves since it came out in 2018. I always find peace and happiness flipping through the pages and find that I also always discover a new feeling about being a mom myself!
