Happy (almost) Thanksgiving, cuties! Have I mentioned how thankful I am that you’re here reading this post right now?!
“Seriously! I am so grateful for every single person who has ever engaged with Kathy Kuo Home—whether you’ve shopped with us, consulted us for design services, signed up for Trade, stopped by our Showroom, or perused The Kuotes for home design inspo…thank you!”
It’s a joy to share my passion for all things home with you, and this time of year really does have me fired up to give thanks and spread the love by spotlighting my monthly favorite things. Read on for all the scoop on what I’m wearing, buying, eating, and doing this month (spoiler alert: I’m practicing gratitude)! And from all of here at KKH: Wishing you and yours a peaceful and joyous Thanksgiving next week.
Kathy’s November Favorite #1: Holiday-Ready Fashion
As you may have heard (because I have been screaming it from the rooftops), we have a Design Showroom in Tribeca! Recently, my team and I did a super-fun photoshoot in the space and I took the opportunity to really have some fun with fall/winter fashion. Many of you know that I really love expressing myself through fashion and being a design professional, there’s few things I love more than beautifully made clothing that tells a story.
“‘Tis the season of giving, but don’t forget to treat yourself a little bit too…especially when it comes to the perfect outfits for all of the holiday parties on your calendar!”
With the holiday season officially here, I wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces that I feel are so perfect and so versatile for this time of year—lots of separates (from Balmain, Max Mara, and Blaze Milano), gorgeous heels (Loubs, of course!), and the ultimate cozy-chic sweater dress from Cult Gaia.

Kathy’s November Favorite #2: Tabletop Essentials from KKH
As I mentioned above…we are officially in the thick of the holiday entertaining season! I don’t know about you, but my calendar is already booked solid through the month of December…and that includes some holiday gatherings at my own apartment I’m not even sure who I’ve invited to!
“The key to staying sane when hosting in your own home this jolly time of year is to make sure that you’re stocked up on tabletop essentials—dishes, glassware, kitchen tools, flatware, etc.”
I personally like to add a healthy dose of shimmer and luxury during the holiday season, so I’m never shy about bringing out the fancy dishes and tabletop decor pieces to really set the mood for festivity. Below are few pieces that are sure to elevate your next gathering and become treasured heirlooms to be used during the holidays year after year!

Kathy’s November Favorite #3: Sweets from Laduree
What would the holiday season be without something sweet? The French confectionery brand Laduree (famous for their beautiful macarons) has long been a favorite of mine…not only are their products delicious, but they’re also so special and lovely to look at!
To celebrate the opening of our new Design Showroom in Tribeca, my team and I worked with Laduree to put together a dreamy macaron display. The whimsical look was perfect for the mood of the occasion and guests were swooning for the tasty seasonal flavors (like Hazelnut, Chocolate Raspberry, and Salted Caramel). Yum!
Kathy’s November Favorite #4: Bubble Skincare
As a mama to a growing pre-teen daughter, I scrutinize skincare brands not only to make sure they’re up to my standards, but to make sure they’d be safe and appropriate for my middle-schooler as well now. Bubble Skincare truly checks every box—premium ingredients, formulas developed in-house by dermatologists with input on skin needs from real customers and brand ambassadors, and a collection of products specifically formulated to be appropriate for age 14 and under.
Long story short: Bubble is a super-cute brand (hello, adorable packaging) that is high-quality, thoughtfully and scientifically developed, and safe and healthy for both me and my tween! Talk about wins all around! Plus, wouldn’t their products make perfect stocking stuffers?
Kathy’s November Favorite #5: Practicing Gratitude
Finally, I wanted to leave you on a serene and grateful note! With Thanksgiving coming right up next week, I am taking extra time to reflect on all that I have to be thankful for—my wonderful children, my health, my KKH team, my friend, my family!
I am a big proponent of journaling regularly as a way to always be looking for moments of gratitude—I’ve mentioned it before, but I love, love, love The Best Journal Ever. It’s great as a tool to kick off a new habit if you aren’t already a daily journal-writer. I also love to set the mood for peace and reflection with my treasured Tibetan Singing Bowl and a candle that smells amazing (you can’t go wrong with Baobab).
