It’s official: we’ve got summer on the brain, and with it, beach houses, and coastal style decorating tips. This one belongs to LA-based designer Jeffrey Alan Marks, a man who personifies the “SoCal” aesthetic better than pretty much any designer we know. Looking at these images, you can practically smell the fresh, salty summer air…
We love the light wood floors in this space, and how Jeffrey Alan Marks has paired sisal rugs with green leather, classic stripes with industrial accents, floral couches with rattan ottomans. There’s a lot going on in the room above, and yet, somehow, it works. In fact, it doesn’t just work, it feels incredibly serene. Amazing, isn’t it?
Let’s talk about the wallpaper in the kitchen of this home. It looks like a school of fish swimming towards the dining table – the perfect dash of kitsch in this beach home.
We can’t tell you how many times we’ve pinned (and pined over) this bedroom. The whitewashed beamed ceilings. That gorgeous bench at the of the bed. THE CANOE HANGING FROM THE CEILING. Hello, perfection. Classic, chic, and yet totally coastal. Mr. Marks nails it, yet again.
We can’t get enough of this little sunroom. The varying shades of blue paired with leather and wood find harmony with the bedroom, yet somehow, make the space seem separate and deserving of design love in its own right.
Last but not least – the outdoor space is as adorable as can be, isn’t it? Again, we’ve got coastal decor playing with industrial alongside a little bit of French Country (loungers, we’re looking at you) here and there. The master of mixing, Jeffrey Alan Marks manages to create the beach house of our dreams. We love it. Do you?
