Hi cuties! I’ve had such a fun time lately taking you on tours of my entryway, living room, home bar, and bedroom…and next up? My cozy, moody dining room! This jewel-toned space is one of my favorite rooms in my NYC apartment.
“I love how the high ceilings and panel moulding set the stage for a really sophisticated, yet still inviting and lived-in look–like all of the rooms in my home, I of course want it to look great, but it has to be comfortable for my two kids as well.”
One of my favorite interior design techniques is using contrast–I love how the color palette of my dining room is in stark contrast to the light and airy look of my entryway, and within the dining room, I’ve added brass accents and a glamorous, sparkly chandelier to create visual contrast with the Studio Green Farrow & Ball wall paint.
Take a peek behind the scenes in my home-sweet-home in the video below, and then read on to shop my at-home fave products!

Setting the Table in Style
For me, my tabletop essentials are just as important to the look and feel of the dining room as the furniture is. All of my dishware, glassware, and my pewter (regular readers know how much I loooove my pewter) pieces all blend together for a tablescape that’s elegant and upscale, but also modern and relaxed.
I find that using my L’Objet dishes and Nude Glass wine glasses in regular life–not just for fancy occasions–is a really fun way to add a little something extra into the day.
“If you can find a reason to celebrate or grateful every day, you’ve earned a yummy family dinner on your favorite dishware, illuminated by candlelight!”

Cheers to a Well-Styled (and Well-Stocked) Bar Cart
Aside from your anchor pieces of a dining table, dining chairs, and perfect lighting, one item I always love to see in a dining room design is chic bar cart! I keep my bar cart full of my favorite libations, accoutrements, and cocktail glasses for entertaining guests, but I also love to style the shelves with visual elements that complement the room.
Right now I have (no surprise) tons of my beloved pewter pieces on display, along with some stacks of vintage books, a sleek marble serving board, candles for setting the mood, and a vase of seasonal dried flowers and foliage.
“Once the weather warms up just a touch more, you’ll find fresh spring blooms, glasses for summer cocktails, and bowls of citrus fruit for garnishes! Cheers!”
