Happy (almost) spring, cuties! I don’t know about you but I am loving the feeling of warmer weather starting to break through the chill here in NYC! The change in the seasons also has me in the mood to rearrange my coffee table styling motif! I always enjoy changing up my decor at home so I wanted to share some of my favorite easy-breezy coffee table styling tips!

Coffee Table Styling Tip #1: Stack Coffee Table Books
It’s right there in the description: Nothing makes for a better coffee table styling foundation than coffee table books! There’s no one way to shop for designer coffee table books, so I recommend that you just follow your interests while also being mindful of the colors at play.
“To start your tabletop styling adventure, I like to stack 3-4 coffee table books of similar size and color and then place the stack to one side off-center of the table!”
Anyone who knows me knows that I love to read in my free time so there’s never any shortage of books on fashion, design, food, art, and travel in rotation on my coffee table and on my shelves.

Coffee Table Styling Tip #2: Use a Tray to Keep Objects Organized
I love a good tray–it’s an essential decor item that you can do so much with! The perfect decorative tray really does wonder for taking your coffee table styling look to the next level.
“The tray itself should be a standalone piece of decor–it should coordinate well with the style of your coffee table and you should really love the color and texture.”
You can use your tray to showcase decorative objects–framed photos, sculptures, and paperweights–for purely aesthetic purposes as well as to house functional coffee table mainstays like TV remotes, coasters, and candles.

Coffee Table Styling Tip #3: Add Decorative Objects to Create Character
Once you’ve stacked your books and selected your tray, it’s time for the real fun to begin (can you tell I’m a total design and styling nerd?)! Yep, it’s decorative object and tchotchke time!
I personally love my Simon Pearce singing bowl and a scented candle from Diptyque to bring a chic and calm vibe to my coffee table. I also love small art pieces and sprigs of my favorite plants and flowers to represent my creative and nature-loving sides.

Coffee Table Styling Tip #4: Bring the Room to Life with Florals
My last but certainly not least coffee table styling tip is to finish the whole thing off with florals! Though you can add florals any time of year, it’s especially fun to work them into your home design in the springtime.
