Happy Friday the 13th, cuties (or should I say BOOties?)! There’s no denying that we are officially in the era of spooky season decor, and even though I am historically not always the biggest fan of Halloween decorations, even I can admit that it brings a smile to my face when I see photos of how our customers are incorporating their KKH pieces into their spooky season motifs.
“Whether you style your haute haunted house with black and white pumpkins, chic skeletons and skulls, traditional orange jack-o-lanterns and gourds, or seasonal foliage, it’s always fun to celebrate the season by incorporating festive elements into your home decor.”
And if you’re like me (whatever the Halloween equivalent of the Grinch is—hehe), I’ve also pulled some of my favorite autumnal inspiration that’s more about that fall feeling rather than anything to do with Halloween. Trick or treat, cuties!
Spooky Season Decor Style #1: Black & White (And Plenty Of Fright!)
My favorite kind of pumpkin is a chic white pumpkin, so I love the trend towards black and white Halloween decor that I’ve been seeing from our customers on Instagram! Aside from white pumpkins, this spooky monochrome look is all about darkly glamorous skulls and skeletons, witchy cobwebs, and plenty of luxurious autumnal textures—like boucle, linen, and natural stone.

Spooky Season Decor Style #2: Oh My Gourd
Ok, ok, I’ll surrender—it wouldn’t be a spooky season decor guide without some actual orange pumpkins and a generous assortment of gourds! When it comes to pumpkin spice and everything nice, you really can’t go wrong in using a cluster of mini pumpkins in a variety of orange hues as a seasonal centerpiece on your dining table or as a festive decorative accent on your sideboard, coffee table, or mantel.

Spooky Season Decor Style #3: Festive Foliage
My favorite thing about autumn is, hands down, the changing of the leaves and all the fall foliage we’re lucky enough to enjoy here in the Northeast, Regardless of what time of year it is, I always love the look of seasonal greenery, florals, and foliage in a stylish vase as a way to give your home a festive refresh.

Spooky Season Decor Style #4: Bat Chic Crazy
I don’t think anyone could deny that bats are the poster animal for Halloween festivities! It’s so fun to see our craft-inclined customers deck out their homes for Halloween with festive bat decor! These chic swarms of bats are so fun because they’re actually quite subtle and add just the right pop of spookiness without going over the top. My favorite examples of this trend pair bat decor with KKH coffee tables, benches, and plenty of black and gold accents.

Spooky Season Decor Style #5: Fall Vibes, No Pumpkins
Finally: You’ve heard of “all vibes, no plot” when it comes to books and movies…well, I personally am drawn to “fall vibes, no pumpkins” when it comes to autumnal decor! Give me exposed beams, a roaring fire in the hearth, faux fur pillows, and cashmere throw blankets over ghosts and jack-o-lanterns any day! Candy corn? No thanks, I’ll take a nice glass of red instead!
