Kristy Wicks and Kathy Kuo go way back, and I (Cal here) am constantly perusing Kristy’s blog, an amazing online destination for design work edged with vintage finds and amazing DIY projects. Recently, we were lucky enough to work with Kristy as she gave her dining room a makeover in one of our absolute favorite color palettes: blue and white. A white and blue palette brings comfort and style to a space, and it evokes feelings of the clouds or the sea while offering the home a semblance of tranquility. Whether it’s blue jeans and a plain white T on a summer day or a layer of snow against a cold blue sky, this color combo is one we adore.
Our favorite piece in the dining room is the chandelier Kristy chose, our Edisto chandelier. She says on her blog, “the frosted beaded glass and iron really shine in my space…this new piece as classic and elegant as it is will become a long-standing staple, I’m sure,” and boy do we agree! We love how Kristy pulled everything together: the cool tones mixed with the greys, creams, and whites. Love this look so much you gotta have it? Shop the look below!
Here’s a tour of the rest of Kristy’s dining room. The space is airy, light, open, and so refreshing!
