Hello hello to all my Kuotes cuties! I am honestly so excited about the nursery reveal we have to share with you today! If you’re a regular reader, you know how much we love, love, love lifestyle blogger and content creator Olivia Rink!
Over the past couple years, we’ve worked with Olivia Rink on an NYC apartment bedroom refresh, a complete bedroom makeover in her childhood home in Indiana during the early days of the pandemic, and now, we recently had the pleasure of working with her on designing a nursery space for her first child! And let me tell you…it’s our cutest collab with her to date!
Olivia and her husband Conner currently live in a ranch house in Kentucky–it’s their first home and they’ve spent the past year renovating, furnishing, and decorating to make it truly feel like home. Truly, Olivia and Conner are the sweetest couple, and you can really feel how overjoyed they are about welcoming their son this month.
“I have always been blown away by the KKH Design Team’s ability to nail my vision for a space on the first try, but aside from their design talents, the KKH team has always been so kind and caring to work with. They want you to love the room as much as you want to love it!” –Olivia Rink
To be able to join Olivia on her design journey to create a super-serene and neutral-toned nursery–complete with timeless pieces that are built to last, cozy textures, and elements that reflected Olivia’s personal style–was just a dream! Olivia, welcome back to the Kuotes Blog! Before we get into your nursery, tell our readers a bit about your personal aesthetic and style!
When it comes to our home, I like to think it has a cozy and sophisticated elegance. I want our guests to feel welcomed from the second they walk inside. I’m typically drawn to a classic and timeless aesthetic, but love incorporating unexpected elements and modern touches.
I love when a space tells a story about the people who live in it–it makes it feel so much more personal I always lean towards cream, white, black, browns, gold, silver, and blush when it comes to a color palette.
Okay, now on to the main event: You’re expecting your first child! So exciting! How have you and your husband been preparing for your little one?
We’ve spent the last nine months preparing our minds and our hearts for this new little addition to our family, so we’re thrilled to have his room all ready for his arrival too! We’ve been leaning on our awesome support system of family and friends to guide us through this next stage of life. We can’t wait to be parents!

It’s no secret that all of us at KKH love working with you! It’s been such a joy to see how you incorporate our pieces into your home. What stood out to you from your experience working with our Design Team?
This is my third time getting the opportunity to design one of my spaces with the KKH Team. I have always been blown away by their ability to nail my vision for a space on the first try. But aside from their design talents, the KKH team has always been so kind and caring to work with. They want you to love the room as much as you want to love it!
When it came to designing the nursery, what were your goals for that space? What were some of your must-have features?
I wanted it to feel very calming and comfortable. We live in Kentucky, so I like that we incorporated some cozy farmhouse vibes while keeping it very classic. I also just love how the wallpaper and wainscoting turned out! It made the room feel complete.

I know it’s early days–and I’m sure the answer to this question may change once your baby arrives–but do you have any favorite nursery furniture pieces so far?
I love the beautiful dresser because it adds so much warmth to the space. I also love the texture the cozy rug adds and the subtle baby blue from the wallpaper and cloud art. Gosh, it’s so hard to pick–I love it all!
Do you have any tips or advice for parents-to-be who are getting started on the nursery design process?
Do a lot of Pinteresting and flip through magazines, design blogs, and books. Save the photos you love and figure out what it is about those spaces that you love.Is it the cozy rug? The color scheme? The wallpaper? Make note of all those things and then figure out how to implement them into your own space.
