Constructed from wood
Upholstered in blue fabric; throw pillows also available in same body fabric.
Fabric: 93% polyester and 7% rayon;
Frame is made of kiln-dried hardwoods and engineered hardwoods. The frame is joined together using a mortise & tenon type interlocking construction which aids in the creation of a very rigid and long-lasting frame. Coil springs are stationed on a solid polypropylene base then secured by 259 pound test twine which is hand tied eight ways, where applicable. Steel bands stretch from front to back and side to side underneath the polypropylene base in order to eliminate spring sagging.
Ultra-Down (UD) seat cushion starts with a high resiliency foam core. The core then has a 1” foam cap glued to the top and bottom and wrapped around the front. This cushion is then inserted into a jacket sewn with California down proof ticking that is filled with a generous blend of down, feathers and fiber. Ultra-Down offers the plush comfort of down with a more straightforward, tailored appearance. Back cushion fill is Blend-down (BD) – Blend of down, feathers and polyester fiber.

WARRANTY

Upholstery: warrants standard, unaltered (not recovered) upholstery for one year when put to ordinary residential use. Upholstery Frames and Springs: warrants unaltered (not recovered) upholstery frames and springs for ten years when put to ordinary residential use. Cushion Cores: warrants cushion cores against loss of resiliency for two years when put to ordinary residential use. During the next three-year period (that is, the third, fourth and fifth year following your purchase) you may purchase a replacement cushion and the purchase price will be prorated based on the number of years remaining in an expected life of the product of five years. Please note that the loss of resiliency should not be confused with the slight and expected softening and flattening of the polyester fiber, feather and down mixture, and foam components that occur as a result of normal use and aging. Such flattening and softening is not a material or manufacturing defect, and is not covered by this Warranty. Fabrics and Leathers: warrants the fabrics and leathers within standard product lines to be free from the following defects for one year when put to ordinary residential use: sewn-seam failure, excessive fading (excluding fading from direct sunlight exposure), excessive pilling (unless pilling is a natural characteristic of the fabric), tearing or ripping and yarn failure. Please note that the following are not material or manufacturing defects and are not covered by this Warranty: fabric characteristics that are inherent to their unique nature, such as color variation, natural fiber graining, yarn slubs and textural changes such as “naps” (the raised, fuzzy surface on fabrics such as velvet) that will show as visible hue or color changes after use (crushing and shading); slight and gradual wear including “pilling” (the formation of small balls of fuzz on the fabric surface) due to the friction of normal use; stretching and wrinkling due to normal use; and natural leather characteristics that are inherent to its unique nature, such as natural markings, color or grain variations, wrinkles and changes in color, texture, and stiffness with normal use. Certain leathers are less susceptible to these changes and information about which leathers are most suitable for your desired use and outcome can be found on the back of leather swatches. Customer own material (“COM”) and customer own leather (“COL”) are excluded from this warranty.

CARE OF THIS ITEM

To prevent overall soil, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Spot clean, using a mild water free solvent or dry cleaning product. Clean only in a well-ventilated room and avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride or other toxic materials. Pretest a small area before proceeding. Cleaning by a professional furniture cleaning service only is recommended. CAUTION: Never remove cushion covers for separate dry cleaning or washing, even though they do have zippers. Do not use bleach at any time. The use of steam or water-based cleaners may cause excessive shrinking or staining of this particular fabric. Do not use any tumble method cleaning service as this may destroy the backing of the fabric or shrink or otherwise damage the upholstery fabric.
